IMPORTANT NOTE :-
This years event has been cancelled
Kidderminster and District Lions Club are very sorry to have to announce that Raft Race 2016 is CANCELLED.
Reason :- insufficient entries to warrant continuing. LIONS Clubs are raising money for charitable purposes. It would be unwise of us to continue and run the event at a loss. For the few of you who have entered we thank you and we understand the amount of work that has been put into constructing your rafts. We will try to find you an alternative race for you to enter.

Arley to Stourport Raft Race is run annually in the spring, as a charity fund raising event organised by the Kidderminster and District Lions club. It starts above Arley on the west side of the river. The competitors congregate in a field and carry the rafts the short distance to the launch point.
It runs along the Severn for approximately 8 miles passing through Bewdley at about the half way point. Many competitors take this opportunity to quench their thirst in the riverside pubs at Bewdley, although alcohol is not recommended.
It finishes at Stourport on Severn at the boat club with the rafts being extracted from the river a little way down stream adjacent to the rugby fields.
